I just saw the phrase “wide, carnivorous sky”* and bam! it perfectly summarizes how I feel about cloudless days, particularly hot cloudless days. Sky everywhere, no way to escape from the flaming ball of fire.

By way of contrast, it’s overcast today, and I feel marvelous.
